Pre-K Homeschooling

I'm currently out of work after having the baby. So while Im looking for work I have been trying to make the most of the time I have with the girls. I started implementing morning circle time this week. They are loving it!

This week I didn't do a lesson plan or pick a theme because it was all new to them. Instead I've been focusing on circle time rules and the basic parts of circle time like Days of the Week, Seasons and Weather. They are starting to pick up the words to the songs and hand gestures. I can't believe how fast Ari picked it up being only 2!

This is during our Good Morning song.

Looking for Signs of Spring. (Note to     self: teach Lillee rights are not pants!)

The Children of EDEN

If you couldn't tell from the number of children I have, I really love kids! When I was a child I wanted to be a "baby nurse". As I got older I wanted to be a social worker to help families and a teacher to be an influence on kids. Once I got saved I was consistently finding myself as a children's church leader even when I didn't want to be. This is where the Children of EDEN were born. This is the name of the Children's ministry or actually curriculum God gave me to Encourage.Destiny. with Early.Nurturing of a child's spiritual knowledge. This unfinished curriculum has been sitting on the shelf for a couple years now. But as I type this post I realize its time to revamp and finish that curriculum and add it to the daily bible study I just started with my children!

So I thought the reason I was posting this post was to share with you the new bible study I had started with my kids but God used it to remind me of that curriculum! God is so good!

But let me quickly tell you about our daily bible study we have started before bedtime! I am using this amazing children's devotional bible which is set up in a read-the-bible-in-a-year fashion. It also has a great introduction that explains how Jesus can become our best friend leading us to His Father for salvation. Each daily passage is setup with a theme, prayer starter and weekly Memory Verse! It's only been two days but Im loving it. So is she!

It's A New Season, It's A New Day!

With the change in physical season the Green family is also embarking on a new spiritual season as well!! With every change in season comes the good times and the hard times. We are currently trudging through the valley but have faith we will soon be victoriously shouting the goodness of God from the mountain tops! God is so good if we are in the valley or on top of the mountain. I'm just so thankful to be one of His anointed.

A lot has changed since the last time I checked in. First, God released us from our church. Sometimes in order to grow you need to let go of things or people who are holding you back. We have started a weekly home based bible study on Wednesday nights. Soon we will be doing a Sunday service, God willing!

The Green family has grown yet again! During an annual visit we got a huge surprise, despite being on birth control and having no symptoms I was 5 months pregnant! Baby Olivi-Anna (LuLu) was born March 31st!! She is amazing, we are so blessed.

I am currently at home with the kids. Unfortunately, this seems to be temporary. Currently we are praying for an answer, I am looking for a job and trying to find an answer to our Childcare needs. So it seems ill be returning to work shortly unless God provides in another way which I would be excited about because I'd really love to homeschool the girls for a few years. (More about that in another post)

The Green family is about to embark on a lot of new endeavors. A new baby, revived ministry, homeschooling, potty training, and maybe even a move though I hope not! But in the words of Misty Edwards - Where you go Ill go, what you say Ill say Lord, what you pray Ill pray!
